J’ai recu la nouvelle carte 2020. Magnifique ! je prépare mon voyage en juin (retour en islande aprés 40 ans et deux voyages de 2 mois á l’epoque pour reportage photo ) la carte est trés claire parfaitement mise à jour. Toute les infos importante pour découvrir le pays sont regroupées.

J’ai bien reçu la semaine dernière la carte d’Islande V4 que j’avais commandée. (PS : j’avais la V1 jusqu’alors). Mille mercis pour cet envoi et surtout pour le travail incroyable que toutes les informations supplémentaires apportées ont dû nécessiter.
Dès réception,je me suis évidemment « plongée » dans ma nouvelle carte, retrouvant des lieux, en découvrant d’autres. Mon prochain voyage – même si non encore planifié à cause du COVID – a néanmoins débuté ☺🗻🌋. Que du bonheur.
Pour la lecture, les contrastes sont plus marqués et de fait les informations beaucoup plus visibles, j’adore les nouveaux symboles notamment ceux des phares, les données de relief et celles des temps de parcours, le code couleur pour les parcs nationaux, les pointillés pour les routes F (homogénéité avec les cartes routières)…etc.
Je n’ai pas fini de tout détailler et il y a surement beaucoup à dire encore.
Quant au papier, c’est effectivement très différent, je vais sans aucun doute apprécier le coté plus résistant (pour les pliages et dépliages) mais dans la pratique, je préserve mes cartes et essaie de les ouvrir à l’abri des intempéries, un coup de vent est si vite arrivé !

I have just received the latest edition of the map of Iceland. Well, what can I say … this is the best map I have ever bought. First of all, it is perfect for every photographer, because by using it you know exactly where you want to go for taking photos. Secondly, despite there are many practical information marked on the map, it is simply transparent and it is a pleasure to use it. Secondly, the quality of the map is amazing. The map is tearproof and waterproof. The paper used for printing is like photo paper. Like a photo printed on the best quality matt photo paper. Thirdly, apart from the marked places for shooting photos, the map has a number of practical information for anyone planning to travel around Iceland on their own. Among others, the most photogenic routes, stopping places, gas stations, travel times between one place and another. And many many more … After receiving this map and seeing how it really is (and not only on the website.) I immediately ordered another one – the Faroe Islands map. Now waiting for this map and for the ferry to Iceland in the second half of June.

Un très beau produit, bien réalisé, complet, utile de bien des manières pour bien des voyages ! Une excellente carte… et bon sang, j’en ai des cartes !
Je ne suis pourtant pas le client “type” dans le sens où je ne prévois pas de road trip, de séjour photo, de promenade instagram ou de voyage organisé, et pourtant ! Quel plaisir de pouvoir profiter d’une vue d’ensemble, des détails de la topographie de l’île, des riches informations sur les plus beaux recoins. Pour préparer une itinérance solitaire de deux semaines en totale autonomie, hors des sentiers battus, c’est un outil formidable à combiner aux cartes topographiques plus précises. Je peux ainsi joindre le plaisir de la découverte de superbes points d’intérêt, au plaisir des centaines de kilomètres à parcourir !

A friend and I used this map extensively on a recently completed 11 day hiking and photography trip to Iceland. We are both from very beautiful places in the U.S. (Oregon and Utah), experienced outdoorsmen, very accustomed to beautiful scenery and are hard to impress. This map served as an exceptional guide to some of the most beautiful places either of have ever seen. Our daily mission was, “let’s go find some more cool stuff” which was easily accomplished by sticking to the yellow road designations and 4 star commentaries. The beauty, drama and grandeur of the landscapes, documented by the map’s commentary were nothing short of astonishing, every single day. If we weren’t sure about our next destination we simply followed the map’s 4 star and highlighted road directions and were never disappointed. An exceptional travel guide and as maps go, superb quality. We’re already planning our next trip.

Je viens de rentrer d’Islande où j’ai voyagé avec votre carte. Elle est hyper pratique et le graphisme participe vraiment à une compréhension rapide. On a adoré, elle était dispo sur le tableau de bord tout le voyage.

L’Islande est absolument fabuleuse et la carte d’un intérêt majeur pour nous guider et nous accompagner tout au long de notre périple.
Le visuel et l’ergonomie proposés vous invitent au libre choix de vos découvertes. Il revient dès lors à chacun de trouver son rythme et son propre format de voyage ! Whatelse ! Tout y est !
Trois semaines sur place et une arrivée majestueuse en bateau à Seyðisfjörður qui nous auront marqué à jamais … Trois semaines qui ne suffiront pas à recouvrir l’immensité des sites d’intérêts et le besoin de vouloir davantage s’en imprégner. Une carte particulièrement adaptée et qui n’a cessé de soulever notre curiosité (et celles des autres durant la traversée 😉).
Quel travail pour y aboutir, et en même temps, quel plaisir insoupçonné !

De retour de mon voyage d’Islande !!!! encore envouté par cette ile ….
Voila 1 an que je prépare ce voyage et la première action fut l’achat de la carte (avec la carte d’art). Cette carte est ABSOLUMENT nécessaire pour planifier et réaliser ce voyage. Les informations données sont pertinentes, bien présentées. La carte est solide au pliages répétés, résistante a l’eau de pluie , résistante à la déchirure (ce vent d’Islande!!!!).
Malgré une F-road mal nommée je ne peux que chaudement recommander cet achat… ne serait ce que pour le travail réalisé par Michael, tout bonnement impressionnant.
J’ai aussi acquis le guide numérique qui m’a permis de réaliser des photos a couper le souffle (vantard et prétentieux.. tout ce qui me caractérise 😉 ).
Rien que la carte donne envie d’y aller, alors n’hésitez pas!!!
